Third community prayer walk
Lori Nelson writes: Thank you for your support and prayers of our community policing walks. This Saturday, April 28, 2007, will be our 3rd walk. We are focusing on the Egleston and Walnut Park areas. We will be meeting @ The Egleston YMCA located on 3134 Washington Street in Egleston Square.
Tentative Schedule:
| 9:00 a.m.-10 a.m. | Meeting & briefing of area and training

10:00 a.m.-12 noon | Walks in areas outlined by Community Police in Egleston and Walnut Park
|
|
12:00 noon-12:30 p.m. | Debrief of walking

In addition, please join us on Monday, April 30, 2007 for our 3rd Speak Truth to Power youth speak out. We are in collaboration with Reverend William Dickerson II, Pastor of Greater Love Tabernacle, who is our host. We will continue to hear the needs and concerns of our youth, by youth. This service which will include young people opening up about violence in our communities and will conclude with prayer. We believe that prayer changes people, places (atmospheres), and things. Come out and support on Monday, and continue to pray for our youth and for peace in this city.
