  • Prayer Movement: A Special Invitation to 10 Days of Prayer
Jonathan Friz writes: Before the first Pentecost, our Lord told his disciples to wait for His empowering in Jerusalem. They obeyed, and sought God in united prayer together with 120 others. At the end of 10 days, the Spirit descended and the Church was born.

This year, God is inviting us to do it again--to wait for Him for 10 days in united prayer, just as the apostles and 120 did so long ago. This time, He has not given us any promises about what He will do, He simply asks us, "Come, seek Me." I ask you, paraphrasing the words of Zechariah, "Let's go at once to seek the Lord of hosts--I am going, will you come too?" (Zec. 8:21).

Please take a few minutes to read this important description: Proposal for 10 Days of Prayer.

If you would like to be a prayer missionary at Northfield, please fill out this application form.

If you want to participate in one of the other ways, please use this form: volunteer application.

If you have any questions, please e-mail me at 10daysofprayer@gmail.com,

If you know of others who might like to be one of the 120 prayer missionaries or might be interested in joining us in one of the other capacities described in the proposal, then please tell them about this opportunity and forward this email to them.

    Sincerely, Jonathan Friz

Zech 8:20-21 NIV This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Many peoples and the inhabitants of many cities will yet come, and the inhabitants of one city will go to another and say, 'Let us go at once to entreat the LORD and seek the LORD Almighty. I myself am going.'
