- Greater Boston Church Planting Collaborative:
Congrevangelization movements in Boston
| Date: | Thursday, 01st of March | | Time: | 18:00 - 20:00 | | Location: | EGC 2 San Juan, Boston | Ralph Kee writes: The second of three conversations around the hope for congrevangelization movements in Boston will take place this Thursday, March 1 at 7 PM at the Emmanuel Gospel Center, 2 San Juan St., Boston. Last week the Great Commission imperative was the subject for conversation.
This Thursday attendees will visit together about the apostolic task and touch on the subsequent tasks: the prophetic task, the evangelististic task, the pastoral task, the pedagogical task, the diaconal task and the revival task , letting the conversation, as always, flow in the directions it wants to.
The following Thursday I expect we'll talk about intentionality and contingency in congrevangelizational movements.
Here's a field trip: I recommended it to some folk a few weeks ago; they went and were moved. Go to the beautiful new Institutute of Contemporary Art on the South Boston Waterfront. Be awed by the current exhibit called Super Vision, pondering what it says about the world we live in. Then step outdoors and gaze over all the acres of parked cars surrounding the Institute, visualizing all that space as it will be shortly, built up with high-end condominiums and apartments. Ask yourself, "Who is going to have the super vision necessary to congrevangelize this new mini-city?"
God bless.
