    Cambridge MA (March 1, 2006) Dr. Negiel Bigpond opened the JHOP Boston kick-off meeting earlier this evening calling for a warrior spirit on the more than 100 intercessors gathered at first Cambridge Baptist Church. Alex Canavan, general manager of radio WEZE 590, and Dr. Roberto Miranda, senior pastor of Congregation Lion of Judah, joint Lou Engle and his intercessor team in their fight to gain the Boston area college campuses for Christ.

    Michele shares her account of the evening: 'Hi Folks, Lou Engle's 40 days of Prayer and Fasting , Boston Uprising, started yesterday with a core of between 50-60 young intercessors ( I tried to count, but they do alot of pray walking around the sanctuary as they pray, and I might have missed a few or counted a few twice. )

    They have dug their trenches and are in position to battle !!

    There was a very moving time of covenanting with God, one another, and the body in our city.... later in the evening, the assembly was commissioned by a Native American christian, Negiel Bigpond, who had come specifically to convey blessings and partnership from the First Nations People.

    A women named Becky (see below, ed.) flew into town, just for the night, as she felt she was passing a torch in a relay--- seems she had worked on various college campuses earlier in her career. On January 20th, the Lord called her to go around the country and mobilize prayer for the students - so she did, visiting many campuses she still has connections with, to fast, pray and minister to the student for 40 days ..... the 40 days ended yesterday as Lou's 40 days for Harvard ( seen as the flashpoint for revival spreading across the campuses of the land) began. She had not known of Lou's initiative when she began hers.

    Throughout the day, several city pastors and leaders also welcomed the intercessors and prayed for them as they began the 40 days.

    Many of the prophectic words and prayers echo our hearts here.

    One of the scriptures that came forth was one I had meant to share at the Intercessors Brunch when we spoke about God's emphasis on Worship remaining a high priority weapon of our warfare - Psalm 149 - especially vs. 6-9

    Psalm 149

    1 Praise the LORD.
    Sing to the LORD a new song,
    his praise in the assembly of the saints.

    2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
    let the people of Zion be glad in their King.

    3 Let them praise his name with dancing
    and make music to him with tambourine and harp.

    4 For the LORD takes delight in his people;
    he crowns the humble with salvation.

    5 Let the saints rejoice in this honor
    and sing for joy on their beds.

    6 May the praise of God be in their mouths
    and a double-edged sword in their hands,

    7 to inflict vengeance on the nations
    and punishment on the peoples,

    8 to bind their kings with fetters,
    their nobles with shackles of iron,

    9 to carry out the sentence
    written against them.
    This is the glory of all his saints.
    Praise the LORD.

    So many other things I could share, but this is long enough already.... the sence of excitment and anticipation of a shift in the heavenly realm remain high.

    Blessings,

    Michele

    Becky Tirabassi writes: After 2 hours of really worshipful, wonderful prayer…at EXACTLY 9 pm EST/6 pm PST, Lou Engle (www.jhopboston.com) invited me to briefly bring a word at the “launch” meeting of Facedown40 – which is a call to all college students across America to come Harvard over their Spring break/in the next 40 days and fast and pray for revival on American universities. How fitting, how absolutely perfectly timed…that I could pass the 40daysof “prayer” torch from 23+ college campuses to their effort in prayer…it felt “complete” and powerful to do so. I prayed for those whom I’ve met along the First40 and prayed as well with the dedicated-to-revival students who were in the room and ready to take the charge/challenge to pray for revival! (FYI: a PLNU grad, who is helping Lou, was excited to hear that his alma mater had hosted a 24 hour prayer room!)

    Since I wasn't able to be there, it's great to see the photos.
