In the past few months and years, the Lord has spoken profoundly through different prophetic voices from around the nation that we are standing at the threshold of another Great Awakening. In 2003, Kenneth Hagin, a father of the Charismatic movement, declared that 2006 would be a glorious year of “heaven on earth.” Earlier this year, Dutch Sheets had a profound encounter with the Lord where the Lord declared that 2006 would be “the year that the lid comes off of the youth movement.” Rick Joyner also made clear that this year would not simply be a celebration of the Azusa Street centennial, but that this would be the year where “He is coming!” But perhaps the most critical word for Boston in this hour is Derek Prince’s prophetic word in 1972 that “Boston is the Jericho of America and when the walls of intellectualism come tumbling down, the Lord will pour out His Spirit upon the whole land.”

A casual approach to these prophetic words could be our undoing. An entire generation has grown up only reading and hearing stories of national revival, but never experiencing the in-break of the Holy Spirit for themselves. There is an open invitation to the university students of America right now to lay hold of these prophetic promises. I believe that a window of opportunity has blown open for us to see the most earth-shaking awakening in the history of America! Already we have heard of reports out of universities like Asbury College in Kentucky of glimmers of revival on campuses. Could this be the hour that God will pour our His Spirit on the universities of America?

We are calling for a core team to commit to stand with us for the full 40 days. May it not be said of us that we were so consumed with our own agendas, plans, and the cares of this world that we missed our chance to be hinge of history for this generation. I will invest myself fully to this core team who will lead the charge for campus awakening. More than anything during this time, I believe that it will take a critical mass of young men and women who are willing to throw themselves fully for the entire 40 days into the Uprising. I have already met young men and women who have quit their jobs in order to be a part of this movement. I will be fully investing myself into this group that will commit themselves for the full 40 days and we will provide housing for those who are committed to the entire 40 days of The Uprising.

For those who cannot come for the 40 days, we invite you to come for a week or a weekend. Challenge your sons and daughters or other young people to spend their Spring Break not feasting and playing, but fasting and praying. Consider partnering with us financially and sustaining the house of prayer either with a one-time gift or monthly support.
